| LEIDERDORP |
| Leiderdorp is a small town situated on the edge (and therefore within easy cycling distance) of the old university city of Leiden. The main north-south motorway (A4) between Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Belgium/France passes close by and Leiden is on the equivalent railway line. Thus the major towns of The Netherlands, as well as Schiphol airport are within thirty minutes travelling time from the school and the sea a mere fifteen kilometers away. |
|
| Although Leiderdorp is small, it is well served with shops and supermarkets and there are one or two commercial estates offering more specialized services as well as the ubiquitous do-it-yourself super stores. There is a good public library with an extensive English language section, many and varied community groups and, in Leiden especially, an unlimited variety of bars, restaurants and clubs offering a wide range of food, entertainment and live music throughout the year. |
